There two ways to currently setup multiple monitors in Windows 7.
1. Use Keyboard Shortcut
2. Via the traditional system properties.
For option 1. the Keyboard Shortcut all you need to do is press the Windows Key and P to bring up the below menu of options. Then use the arrow keys to selected Duplicate, and then you laptop and projector will both display the same information.
For option 2. right-click on the desktop and choose Screen resolution.
Now you will see the familiar 1 and 2 monitor options. Click on the Mutiple Displays drop down menu and select the option you need.
