The Epson EB-X49 is a great classroom and presentation projector which will display bright and vibrant images. With a brightness of 3500 lumens, the image will remain bright and clear throughout the day even with the lights on and blinds open. The contrast ratio of 15,000:1 also adds to the quality of the image, with impressive shades of black and white. The darker areas will have more detail with a high contrast ratio like this.
The EB-X49 is an XGA resolution projector, allowing Power Points, spreadsheets and other teaching / training material to be shown in good detail, and it will even cope with short videos comfortably. If you are showing longer videos or movies then we would recommend WXGA resolution as this is widescreen and most movies are now widescreen so you wouldn’t be showing any stretching. However, the XGA resolution will still give you a clear and sharp image throughout the day when presenting. There is an example below.
The connectivity is also impressive, with the EB-X49 boasting the modern HDMI input and a VGA input allowing you to connect to two sources at the same time. You will be able to show your content in high definition when using the HDMI port and will be able to connect to most devices. It also a USB port to allow PC-free presentations. You can also use one USB cable for mouse control, image and sound with the 3 in 1 USB function. Set up is easy and flexible with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, helping you achieve a perfectly shaped image without distortion. This means projectors can be quickly moved and set up in different classrooms and meeting rooms. You will be able to monitor the projector through the LAN network. Whilst most will install this projector on the ceiling, it would also serve really well as a desktop projector, and at only 2.7KGs it could be used for mobile presentations. It comes with a 3 year warranty with optional warranty extensions available. Overall, this is a great unit from Epson and would suit business or education use perfectly.
